South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC)
The mission of the South Carolina Forestry Commission is to protect, promote, enhance, and nurture the forest lands of South Carolina in a manner consistent with achieving the greatest good for its citizens. Responsibilities extend to all forest lands, both rural and urban, and to all associated forest values and amenities including, but not limited to, timber, wildlife, water quality, air quality, soil protection, recreation, and aesthetics.

South Carolina Forestry Association (SCFA)
The South Carolina Forestry Association (SCFA) is a private, non-profit organization of individuals and companies dedicated to forest conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources. SCFA is a partnership of landowners, loggers, foresters, educators, researchers, conservationists, and sportsmen. They are joined by lumber mills, pulp and paper mills, wood processors, and equipment dealers. The SCFA helps them all deal with common concerns and reach common goals.

Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA)
The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is a non-profit wildlife conservation organization dedicated to ensuring a high-quality and sustainable future for white-tailed deer and white-tailed deer hunting. Founded in 1988, the QDMA currently has more than 50,000 members in all 50 states and several foreign countries including many deer management professionals.

The Wildlife Society (TWS)
The Wildlife Society is committed to a world where humans and wildlife co-exist. We work to ensure that wildlife and their habitats are conserved through management actions that take into careful consideration relevant scientific information. We create opportunities for this to occur by involving professional wildlife managers, disseminating wildlife science, advocating for effective wildlife policy and law, and building the active support of an informed citizenry.

National Timber Tax
Very few sections of the Internal Revenue Code are written specifically for timber. This means there is a considerable amount of interpretation involved. This website was developed to be used by timberland owners, as well as a reference source for accountants, attorneys, consulting foresters and other professionals who work with timberland owners by answering specific questions regarding the tax treatment of timber related activities.

Tree Farm Systems
Our mission – To promote the growing of renewable forest resources on private lands while protecting environmental benefits and increasing public understanding of all benefits of productive forestry. The American Tree Farm System® (ATFS), a program of the American Forest Foundation’s Center for Family Forests, is committed to sustaining forests, watershed and healthy habitats through the power of private stewardship.
